Tom Reuner, Managing Director for IT Outsourcing Research, HfS

Tom Reuner is Managing Director for IT Outsourcing Research at HfS. Tom is responsible for driving the HfS research agenda for the “As-a-Service Economy" across SaaS applications, cloud eco-systems and IT . Together with his HfS colleagues Tom continues to develop ground breaking research around process automation and cognitive computing in both IT and business processes. A central theme for all of his research is the increasing linkages between technological evolution and evolution in the delivery of business processes. Tom’s deep understanding of the dynamics of this market comes from having held senior positions with Gartner, Ovum and KPMG Consulting in the UK and with IDC in Germany where his responsibilities ranged from research and consulting to business development. He has always been involved in advising clients on the formulation of strategies, guiding them through methodologies and analytical data and working with clients to develop impactful and actionable insights. Tom is frequently quoted in the leading business and national press, appeared on TV and is a regular presenter at conferences. Tom has a PhD in History from the University of Göttingen in Germany. He lives in London with his wife and in his spare time he is trying to improve his culinary skills in order to distract him from the straining experience of being a Spurs supporter.

Roland Judas, Technical Evangelist and Product Manager, arago

Roland Judas is a true enterprise IT and software expert. He has been working in the healthcare industry for more than 18 years as evangelist, product manager and product marketing manager. He is an expert in the fields of healthcare IT and IT-automation. In addition to his passion for enterprise IT, he organises community driven events like CloudCamp Frankfurt, CloudOps Summit and WebMontag Frankfurt. As a technical evangelist and product manager at arago, Roland is responsible for the strategic development and marketing of the unique IT-automation platform AutoPilot. Chris Halward, Director of Professional Development, NOA

Chris Halward has been involved in outsourcing since the early 1990s. He is Director of Professional Development for the NOA and has led the initiative to establish the first university accredited series of qualifications for outsourcing professionals. He led the development of the NOA Life Cycle and was a member of the NOA SIGs contributing to the development of BS11000 the standard for collaborative working and the outsourcing standard ISO37500. In his earlier career he was a Head of training and quality service for a subsidiary of the NatWest that provided outsourced retail finance services to both large and small organisations throughout the UK. Chris was also a director of an outsource service provider and has considerable experience in organisational and process design, particularly in the contact centre industry. He has worked on numerous outsourcing projects in various roles in the UK and across Europe, the Middle East and the US. His qualifications include an MA, which focused on outsourcing, and a certificate in Call Centre Management.

Dr. Marcus Esser, Global Technology and Innovation Lead, Capgemini BPO

Dr. Marcus Esser is in charge of the Global Technology Innovation Team at Capgemini BPO. Applying the CD&E (Concept Development & Experimentation) process in their Innovation Labs located at key BPO delivery locations across Asia, Europe and the Americas, Marcus and his team help drive BPO’s service delivery improvement with groundbreaking technology concepts and solutions. This includes the global introduction of cloud based SaaS, OpenSource OS, thin client, RPA and Analytics / Big Data. Since joining Capgemini in 2006, Marcus has held a variety of technology roles with both BPO and Consulting. Prior to that, he worked for the Defense Industry setting up and operating Innovation Labs with pioneering results. Marcus holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Twente in The Netherlands
